Coaching Packages

So you’ve written a story. Or essay. Or novel. Or poem. (Or some other creative work!)

Or maybe you’re in the middle of writing one.

Or maybe you don’t know how to get started.

Now what?

Not knowing what to do next is common. For many years, I wrote and wrote and wrote, attending workshops and facilitating writing groups, but not really knowing what to actually do with my writing. Where should I submit my work? How do I get published? Do I need an MFA? Should I hire an editor?

If any of those questions—or variations thereof—feel familiar, you’re in the right place.

Because guess what! You don’t have to write alone.

Community

In April of 2020, to help combat my own isolation due to the pandemic, I founded Together Apart: A Virtual Write Night, a free weekly writing session that helped me establish accountability in my own writing practice during unprecedented times.

It proved to be so beneficial that I have continued hosting the event, which occurs every Monday (except holidays and occasional vacation breaks).

How it works:

We meet virtually (on Zoom) to talk briefly about what we’re working on and…to write! Upon initial check-in at 7 pm (ET), we share our goals for the session. At the concluding check-in at 9 p.m. (ET), we share our progress.

This is a great opportunity to connect with a community of writers and meet new people.

Note: This is not a critique group and no one typically shares their in-process writing in the group, but we support each other in many other ways, including by celebrating and sharing links to our books and latest publications.
